08:20 pm: life is like a big black man in a purple sweater vest.
Don't you just love a world in which having a baby with downs qualifies you for the vice presidency? Did you know that the largest demographic of people with AIDS is middle aged African American women?

Today at DCC there were a bunch of people dressed up as anime characters. they were fighting with light sabers and then a girl dressed as link started doing a jig with a person dressed as a soldier fighting in Iraq.

I'm not sure what this was supposed to symbolize but I took it to mean that September 11th could have been avoided.

I just realized that the guy dressed as an American soldier fighting in Iraq is not an anime.

Happy fourth of July Everyone! America is now 232 years old. What an amazing 232 years it has been. It seems like only yesterday ( 84,506 yesterdays actually) the redcoats were out rampaging our colonies. Oh Nathan Hale we will never forget you!

10:42 pm: the night before the last day of school
So congratulations to the class of 2008! we have made it with only one pregnancy! We rule because no one has committed suicide in our class! (at least no one I can remember) I remember staying after school everyday in my freshman year with wendell and caitlin. fun times........ Anyway onto bigger and better things. I will be taking bets on who in this class will be the first to get a terminal disease, first to get an abortion and first to end up in jail between now and the end of the week. (I know who I picked for first to get an abortion!) Well Seeya all later!

10:25 pm: Mother of God Save me for Chrissake!
So has anyone heard the Jonas Brothers song?

Everyone knows the story of King Solomon. How two woman claimed to be the mother of the same baby. King Solomon the wise after fruitless questioning had a solution. He said that the baby would be cut in half and that each "mother" would be given her share. One "mother" said fine by me and the other mother said " no let my baby go with her. I would rather lose him then have him die"

The woman who sacrificed her motherhood so that her child could live was then awarded the baby because only a true mother would prefer to lose custody of her baby then have him die.

Now cut to present day....... The people of today are all so greedy. Nowadays if a problem similar to this arose both women would be fine with the cutting of the baby. People are only conscious of their own greed and not with the good of the whole group.

When you have a person arguing over limo rides you know there is a problem. Greediness devours a person and what is supposed to be a "night of our lives" becomes a Nightmare fit for Lewis Carrol's long list of illness's. the idea of one for all and all for one no longer exists.

no two side notes:

1- do you think king solomon could fix the problem that is USA?

2- Tomorrow is my father's birthday. He'll be 53..............I made Brownies!

This is all for your benefit Rachel and Ariel.

09:54 pm: emo losers!!!! i know this post is long but read it. you'll laugh.
so has anyone seen Ariel lately? She hasn't been around that much.

Don't you hate those ( i hate to call them high schoolers so i will use the term children) children who talk to each other like " Oh my God Fight club is the best movie everrrrrrr!!!!!!!!!!! David Fincher (the director) is a fucking genius!!!!!! then you join in and go yeah i like chuck palahniuk too, did you read the book? then the children who started the conversation look at you like you`ve got nipples with a six inch radius (which would mean the nipple is actually a foot in diameter which is like a dinner plate) they then say what the hell are you talking about and go outside to play four square with a basketball.

I guess what i'm trying to say is that there a lot of idiots out there who think that they can start a real band because they can play Guitar Hero on expert with their loser friends who gorge themselves on hot pockets and then jack off in to the microwavable hot pocket sleeve.

another thing that bothers me is that our colleges that we are supposed to strive to be accepted to will want you in their college because you can run a mile in 2 1/2 minutes. Not Because you have a passion for learning. Pretty soon colleges will be asking if you can do a keg stand and if you can't well then too bad.

We are a long way from being made in god's image but i had hoped that we had made some progress.

So yeah...
Haveent seen ariel ina while...wonder where she is??

Lately i have taken a liking to crack cocaine.I have also been hiding several jews in my basement. All of which have surnames ending in ishkowitz.

I havegone to the ccity numerous times with my father and we have paraded around christopher street buying liquor from hispanic sedars. I have also been talking with ms albano more and we have decided that there will be a small festival in the weight room next month which involves african american literature and kippers.

In other news. My ass has recently fallen off.

Also, i am buying an apartment of which parties will be held every weekend in. Granted, those parties consist of me, hector mejorado and a can of coors light, but they are still parties. etc.

10:42 pm: marriage
just a couple of quotes about marriage from Oscar Wilde:

1. When one is in love, one always beginss by decieving one`s self, and one always ends by decieving others.

2.Men marry because they are tired; women, because they are curious: both are disappointed.

3.The one charm of marriage is that it makes a life of deception absolutely necessary for both parties.

4.When a woman marries again, it is because she detested her first husband. When a man marries again, it is because he adored his first wife. Women try their luck; men risk theirs.

and last but this has some sense to it:

5.The only way to behave to a woman is to make love to her if she is pretty and to someone else if she is plain.

Pawling High School Valedictorian speech

By Michael Mascarenhas
Pawling High School Valedictorian

The most difficult part of writing for me has always been the beginning.

Consequently, I decided to steal what Matt Konchan wrote in my yearbook, which, to be fair, he probably stole from someone else: "As the year comes to a close and our dreams turn into realities, it becomes time to say goodbye. Goodbye to a lot of things except memories. Memories are something which will last a lifetime." While it may sound corny, this passage really sums up what I want to say. After thirteen years in the Pawling Central School District, the Class of 2007 is finally graduating! We’re finished with hall passes, distance learning, standardized testing, and pizza Fridays. And after tonight, we leave Pawling with some distinct memories.

I remember back on the first day of first grade I played keep away with Damian Maraffa-Schwartz’s thermos. He obviously did not think it was as funny as I did, but I was seven — I couldn’t tell right from wrong. After a while, Damian's mom called into the school. Mrs. Collette scolded me in front of the class; I never stole a thermos, or anything, for that matter, again.

This is what I love about Pawling — I may not regularly talk to all of my 90 fellow graduates, but after spending the past 13 years with them, I have shared experiences with almost everyone. I remember cleverly punning Holly Ruud’s last name in second grade; my jokes haven’t really improved since. And when I went to Kyle Grogan’s house that same year, I remember how impressed I was by his intense collection of Beatles paraphernalia. I will never forget running away from Kelly Ann Hackett on the playground and the asthma attack that followed. I remember racing Billy Tyson to enrichment class in 4th grade, and Anna Twadell’s bouts with Griffin Hanna on the bus over seating in 7th. I always argued with Nico Rotondo about which team was better — the Mets or the Yankees … to be fair, I still do a lot of that today. Go Mets! I remember playing Kim Possible computer games in Technology class with Ben Ross, Blerta DeMaku, Ricky Blowers, and Taylor Nikola. I also remember when Taylor kissed me in preschool, and how I used that to make all the guys jealous for several years to follow.

I rarely speak to many of these people today; some I haven’t spoken to in years. Although these memories may seem insignificant, this is how I will remember many of the class of 2007 for years to come. And as we move on to the next chapter of our lives, possibly losing contact with many of our acquaintances, I urge you all never to forget the times we’ve had in Pawling.

I won’t lie: I have called Pawling a 'hick town' and complained about how there is nothing to do here. I’ve wished that I lived somewhere else: maybe New York City or even anywhere just a little more populated, like Carmel or Brewster. But as I look back on my 13 years in this class, in this district, and in this town, I can honestly say that I have no regrets in having grown up here. For those of you who can’t wait to begin the next part of your lives, I urge you to take a step back and enjoy the next two months. Because when college begins, things are going to change. Many of these changes will be for the better, some will be for the worse. But there is no going back.

For us, after today, nothing will ever be the same. Whether you are starting a new job or furthering your education, you will never again have the opportunity to rewrite an essay for Ms. Scanlon or listen to one of Mr. Lupoli’s pirate jokes.

In a strange way, I think I’m going to miss the hall passes, distance learning, standardized testing, and pizza Fridays. Maybe not standardized testing. I’m going to miss Pawling High School and the Class of 2007. We’ve been together through good and bad, through thick and thin, and now we’re moving on. I hope that the adventures that we will soon experience will be shared at our 10 year class reunion, but until then, good luck, stay focused, and may upcoming years be some of the best of your lives. Oh, and stay away from the Collegeboard, we’ve had enough of that already...I told you my jokes haven’t gotten better since second grade.
